Ham and Pineapple Pizza by Vicki Towell Pocahontas, AR
- 2 1/2 C. all-purpose flour, divide
- 1 pkg dry yeast
- 1 t. salt
- 2 T. vegetable oil
- 1 C. warm water
- 1/2 lb diced ham
- 1lb mozzerella cheese
- pizza sauce of choice
- parmesan as desired
In large bowl put warm water, yeast, oil and salt, let set for 5 minutes add half of flour and stir. Let set for 5 more minutes then add rest of flour, knead for 5 minutes until elastic and smooth. Let rest 10 minutes for thin crust or 1/2 hour for thick crust. Divide in to two parts and work with hands to achieve a pizza round lay in greased pan,(cornmeal optional.) Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown, then add topping, meat, pineapple then cheese. Bake an additional 15 minutes until golden. You can omit or add any topping, be creative.
